Nigerian Multi award winning singer, trap star and songwriter, Divine Ikubor who was born on 1st of May, 2000, professionally known as Rema, is a Nigerian superstar singer and trap act who rose to fame with the release of the song “Iron Man”, around March 2019, which appeared on Barack Obama’s 2019 summer playlist.

In 2019, the singer signed a record deal with Jonzing World, a subsidiary of Mavin Records, and from the label, on 19 October 2019, bagged Next Rated, and was nominated for Viewer’s Choice at the 13th edition of The Headies, on the 12th of January 2020, he received the Soundcity MVP Awards for Best New Act, and also 15th June 2020, Rema was nominated as Best Viewers Choice: International Act on the 2020 BET Awards alongside Burna Boy and Wizkid.

Looking into the star’s early life, Divine Ikubor aka Rema, was born into a Christian family in Benin City, Edo State, Nigeria. He grew up singing and rapping while he was in secondary school, attained his primary and secondary school education in Ighile Group of School, Edo State, Nigeria.

He recently made it known on social media as he just got admitted into a prestigious Nigerian University, University of Lagos, Akoka, where he’s to be studying, Creative Arts.
